I knew they were well made from talking to other owners, but I was expecting somewhat less so than what I got.

I got mine unfinished, as I’m going raptor coat mine in a custom colour, so yes there are blemishes on the outer surface from internal welds. They are insignificant. No dings or scratches. It was packaged very well - that packaging survived the drive from Perth to Kalgoorlie intact, outstanding.

The TIG welding, while not perfectly stacked dimes, is neat and penetration is clearly good.

Simple internal frame but it’s strong. It’s not gusseted. You could easily do that yourself and if you were planning to chassis mount one of these then that would, I think, be a necessity. As it is, bolting down onto a tray, not an issue.

Doors are beautifully bent (as is the skin) and align perfectly. Struts are beefy - time will tell - and can be adjusted top and bottom to get the doors to open just how you would like. Locks are solid. Hinges are solid. Seals, again, time will tell.

The floor is not flush with the door sills, it sits on top of the lower frame. I actually prefer the extra vertical space this gives and do not see it as an issue. I won’t be fitting a floor, this will be more utilitarian than fancy. I will be adding a drain plug at one corner so I can hose the floor out. Anything that needs some height to clear the sills, like a fridge slide, I’ll just make some spacing rails out of aluminum ‘Z’ channel.

I’m very pleased with my purchase.

What can I say except perfect? Exceptional quality and the price was better. Came from a cheap canopy that lasted 12 months before cracking welds to tc boxes, and wish I’d just come here in the first place. Worth every dollar and then some!

Canopy is well built and solid, very happy with it. Fitted to a 2020 Ford Ranger dual cab, looks great. Customer service was fantastic, delivery very fast to rural Vic. Will definitely buy more gear from TC Boxes.
